Cheval Blanc

Cheval Blanc first received its recognition dated back 1862 during the  Universal Exhibition in London when the chateau is under the proprietorship of Jean Laussac-Fourcaud. Since then, the result of the chateau's long history, passion, and hard work started to pay off as all the recognitions continued to come in until in the 1880's where Cheval Blanc is considered to be on the same level of the most-recognized fine wines in the world.

In 1954, Cheval Blanc received the greatest distinction being a Premier Grand Cru Classé "A" in St. Emilion classification and maintained that highest rank in the following decades. That distinction holds by only 3 others namely Château Angélus, Château Ausone, Château Pavie.

Currently, Cheval Blanc has 39 hectares of vineyards divided into 45 plots and is being run by Bernard Arnault and Baron Albert Frère.
