Offer: Domaine Saint Gayan

A few Rhône Valley wines are known to stand up well to full-flavoured meals and Domaine Saint Gayan is one of them. The Meffre family began crafting wines at Gigondas in the 17th Century, with Roger Meffre winning Appellation Contrôllée in 1971. He now leaves the 33 hectare estate to his eldest granddaughter Julie Meffre, who continues to play an important role in the success of the appellation.

Domaine Saint Gayan is proud of its Grenache grape variety, which forms the backbone of its red wines for the last 12 generations. Intense cherry and plum flavours are combined with soft tannins and a bit of spice in these powerful wines. Whether you want to consume them right now or cellar them for a decade or more, these wines promise
great intensity and depth of flavours.

St Gayan Gigondas Origine    2016

"Dark ruby. Heady, spice-accented raspberry and cherry scents are complicated by musky garrigue, floral and mineral nuances. Sweet and seamless on the palate, offering juicy, impressively concentrated red and dark berry and lavender pastille flavors and suggestions of cola and licorice. Firms up slowly on the finish, which is framed by slow-building tannins and leaves suave floral and red fruit liqueur notes behind." - Vinous, 91-93 points.
S$ 54 nett/bottle (750ml)

St Gayan Gigondas Fontmaria   2015

"The 2015 Gigondas Cuvee Fontmaria reveals crisp acids and firm tannins on the finish, making it a candidate for cellaring even after it's released. Aged in demi-muids, there's a bit of vanilla upfront, but that's balanced by hints of clove, allspice and plummy fruit." - The Wine Advocate, 91-93 points.
