Not just extraordinary, but legendary

An epic journey across China to create something legendary, led to an enchanted hidden wine paradise, Yunnan, which is now home to the first world-class fine wine of the Himalayas, Ao Yun. With vineyards situated at high altitudes of 2200 – 2600m, the name Ao Yun aptly translates to "roaming above the clouds". Indeed, you do feel as though you can absolutely touch the surrounding clouds as you stand dreamily on the meticulously managed vineyards with over 300 distinct plots.

Ao Yun possesses a unique terroir with incredible diversity and scarcity, manifesting a wine with beautiful freshness coming from the mountainous Himalayas, coupled with a textural balance of creaminess and tension, and finishing with an incredible length and salinity.

Just recently, Edward Ragg MW from The Wine Advocate has released a high score of 95 on a Chinese wine for the first time, and it's awarded to none other than Ao Yun, vintage 2018. In addition, James Suckling awarded his highest rating yet for Ao Yun, giving a whopping 98 points for the 2018 vintage. This milestone highlights the increasing recognition and potential of Chinese wines in the international market of fine wines on par with the icons and "cru" of the world.
