Château Petit Village
Château Petit-Village is located in the Pomerol appellation, on the right bank of Bordeaux. Château Petit-Village is located on the high part of the magnificent Pomerol plateau at an altitude of between 35 and 38 metres, on gravel soils in the heart of the appellation. The château first belonged to the Moulin family back in 1780 and reigns over a historic 10.5-hectare vineyard today.
Significant replanting of the vineyard had occurred, with the long term aim of maximising quality and these changes have begun to bear fruit. About 75% of the estate is dominated by Merlot, which makes up the flesh of the wine and endows it with its velvety feel, roundness and generosity. The remaining 18% and 7% of the vineyard is planted with Cabernet Franc Cabernet-Sauvignon respectively, giving structure, complexity, freshness and aromatic intensity to the final blend. 2020 marks the year of certification of the entire vineyard in Organic Agriculture.
