Domaine Chantal Lescure
Founded in 1975 by Chantal Lescure and Xavier Machard de Gramont, Domaine Chantal Lescure is a family estate which today operates a 19ha vineyard, to the north on the slopes of Dijon and to the south to Meursault. This vineyard is fully cultivated in certified organic farming since 2006.
After the passing of Chantal Lescure in 1996, her two sons, Aymeric and Thibault Machard de Gramont, took over the estate. Their objective is to create wines that are authentic and pure, accurately reflecting their terroir. To achieve this, they employ a viticulture approach that is respectful of the soil, plants, and their surroundings.
The Domaine's main objective is to attain optimal maturity through naturally controlled yields. They conduct a gentle vinification, taking into account the unique qualities of each terroir, and age their wines on lees in 228 and 500-liter barrels, with a moderate use of new wood. The winery produces 19 cuvées from 35 plots annually, and the bottling process is done at the estate without filtration or fining.
