Olivier Bernstein
Wine Clique is the appointed distributor of Olivier Bernstein
In 2002, at the age of 35, Olivier achieved his dream of becoming a winemaker. He had the opportunity to work with Henri Jayer during the making of the 2002 vintage, and that started his love of Pinot Noir. Five years later in 2007, he returned to Burgundy and started this remarkable micro-negotiant operation that now includes a few estate vineyards, including parcels of his own Mazis Chambertin Grand Cru and Gevrey-Chambertin Premier Cru les Champeaux. His wines are fruit-driven with volume and perfectly balanced with silky tannins and a long finish.
He has caught the attention of several critics like Jancis Robinson, Antonio Galloni, Allen Meadows since his first vintage. Allen Meadows even mentioned that his wines are "vaguely Jayer-like"! A prodigy in making?
