Renato Corino
Wine Clique is the exclusive distributor of Renato Corino
Renato Corino started his wine journey more than 40 years ago when their family arrived in La Morra. He was mentored by the family's close friend, Elio Altare, and learnt Elio's techniques of thinning in the vineyard to get better quality and more elegance and structure in the wines.
In 2005, the family's estate was split between the brothers and he created his own label. He is blessed with some of the coveted crus in La Morra, the Rocche dell'Annunziata, Pozzo and Arborino.
Renato is a perfectionist in the vineyards and pursues a sustainable viticulture. His Barolos defies gravity and is all about elegance and finesse. They are lightly extracted, weightless and wonderfully balanced between fruits, acidity and tannins. The Barolo Riserva Vecchie Vigne are produced from selected vines over 50 years and in very limited quantities of approximately 1,000 bottles per vintage.
