Robert Groffier Pere & Fils

The winery is founded in the 1950s by Robert's father, Jules and is currently under the management of his grandson, Nicolas. The domaine owns a total of close to 7 hectares including of 0.98 ha of Bonnes Mares, 0.42 ha of Chambertin Clos de Bèze and a full 1.10 ha of Chambolle-Musigny Les Amoureuses, the biggest single owner of this vineyard and consists of mostly old vines.

Robert Groffier is considered to be one of the finest winemakers in Burgundy. Many wine aficionados find the name synonymous with elegance. Furthermore, his wines are rich and concentrated, with each "cru" truly reflects its respective "terroir".

His vineyard techniques include two green harvests and one effeuillage while winemaking process starts from the cold maceration of the grapes for about a week, ageing on the lies, no racking, no fining and no filtration.
