In 2024, Pavie unveils a refreshed visual identity—more modern, more refined—echoing the evolution of its wines. This vintage sees the grand vin adorned with a new label, marking this new chapter.

Perse Latitudes

After a career in retail, Gérard Perse pursued his passion for wine in the 90s, acquiring Château Pavie, Monbousquet, and Clos Lunelles. The Perse family also bought the Hostellerie de Plaisance, now Hôtel de Pavie, with its two-Michelin-starred restaurant, collaborating with chef Yannick Alléno since 2020.

Château Pavie, "Saint-Emilion Premier Grand Cru Classé A"

The wine history of Château Pavie goes back to the 4th century. The estate experienced a remarkable renaissance in 1998 when it was acquired by the Perse family. Under the stewardship of Gérard Perse, the estate ascended to the pinnacle of the appellation, culminating in its prestigious promotion to Premier Grand Cru Classé A in 2012. The vineyard of Château Pavie boasts a rich tapestry of terroirs, ranging from the "limestone plateau" of Saint-Emilion, situated approximately 85 meters above the Dordogne River, to the "middle of the hill" at around 55 meters above the Dordogne. This exceptional terroir gracefully manifests itself in the wines, bestowing upon them elegance, finesse, freshness, and purity.

"The 2024 vintage brought its share of challenges that called upon all the vigneron’s expertise and experience. Relentlessly, with energy and tenacity, we pursued our quest for perfection. Our terroir, both powerful and generous, once again demonstrated its exceptional qualities and revealed all its strength
of character. The weather conditions during the growing season necessitated painstaking work and the commitment of each vigneron. Skill and experience guided the decision-making of the technical managers.
Finally, at each stage of the cycle, our determination and enthusiasm enabled us to push the boundaries to their limit in order to achieve optimal ripeness in the grapes.
